The Museum is a ‘family-friendly’ place for children of all ages to visit with their parents or carers. Around the galleries there are a number of interactive exhibits suitable for young children to explore with supervision. In the Natural History Discovery Centre you can stroke a fox or a hedgehog and look at amazing wildlife under the video microscope! Or see what you can find in the archaeological sandpit downstairs in the Great Hall.
There is a regular programme of family activities during holidays and half-term, plus occasional events at weekends.
